USPS Holiday Surcharge for 2024

The USPS is temporarily increasing rates for some package services from October 6th to January 19th. Holiday shipping rates tend to go up for all major carriers like USPS, FedEx, and UPS. These temporary rate increases are normal to help carriers handle the increased package volume during the busy holiday season. This ensures they can maintain their service standards.

USPS pricing overview:

As a reminder Commercial Pricing is a discounted rate offered to businesses who print USPS shipping labels and meet certain volume requirements. Commercial Pricing is always cheaper than the Retail Pricing given at the Post Office.

ShipEngine offers discounted USPS shipping rates that are below Commercial Pricing for shipments within the continental U.S. when you print labels through our platform. Customers can access these discounts when printing USPS labels using ShipEngine’s wallet.
